ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN SOMATOLOGY
Course Aim:
The department offers an Advanced Diploma in Somatology that will allow students to broaden their scope of practice with new knowledge and skills in advanced therapies with a focus on anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation techniques.
This programme affords graduates the opportunity to advance their studies in the wellness sciences, allowing them to specialise in sought-after wellness therapies with an emphasis on scientific research. Graduates will be equipped to apply advanced wellness therapies, will be able to manage or start up a business enterprise with proficiency, and have the capacity to undertake research projects in wellness sciences.
Opportunities:
Research forms a vital component of the Advanced Diploma in Somatology, where students will complete a research methodology course covering the main principles of research methodology, scientific writing in presentation of research and ethics.
The programme encourages research, entrepreneurship and industry development. Professional somatologists will be able to work in health and skincare clinics, wellness spas and cruise liners, locally or internationally.
