DIPLOMA IN ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT- ECP
Course Aim:
Graduates are equiped to manage environmental aspects such as water demand, energy and transport impacts, enrironmental impacts assessments and environmental policies.
Opportunities:
Employment Opportumities exists in government departments such as the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Water Affairs and Forestry, Industry and consulting companies. Graduates are employed as Environmental Law Consultants, Environmental Impact Assessment Specialists and Environmental Auditors.
Admission requirements:
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:
. English Home or First Additional Language (4)
. Mathematics (3) or Mathematical Literacy (5)
. Life Sciences (4) or Geography (4)
. Physical Sciences (3)
Subject to space, students may be admitted to the ECP if they have at least scored 50% for Geography or Life Sciences, and at least any other subjects except Life Orientation
The department utilises an Admission Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You also have to score a minimum of 26 with Mathematics and 28 with Mathematical Literacy for the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) on the APS
