MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING
ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTANCY

Course Aim:
The HEQSF-aligned Advanced Diploma in Accountancy qualification will allow graduates to:
1. Accurately prepare financial statements and reports taking cognisance of the relevant IFRS and other relevant legislative and industry requirements by incorporating best practice;
2. Evaluate systems of internal control, risk management and governance
3. Effectively perform independent reviews and prepare for audits
4. Comply with the highest ethical standards of the relevant profession;
5. Render effective value-adding advisory services encompassing: strategic planning, systems optimisation/implementation and tax consultations to achieve strategic viability.

Opportunities:
Careers opportunities are in the fields such as Compliance officers, Accounting officers, Management Accountants, Tax Practitioners, Auditors, Risk personnel, etc.

Admission requirements:
A National Diploma in Accounting or Cost and Management Accounting (or equivalent), aggregate 60% in the final year of study. HEQSF-aligned Diploma in Accountancy (aggregate 55% in the final year of study) or equivalent with pre-requisites of Financial Accounting 3, Management Accounting 3 (or equivalent), Corporate Procedures (or equivalent) and Taxation 2 (or equivalent). Graduates with an HEQSF aligned B Com degree or equivalent with requisite entry subjects can apply.
