MASTER OF NURSING

Course Aim:
The aim of this programme is to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct independent research in nursing, and to contribute significantly to knowledge production through the understanding, application and evaluation of existing and new knowledge. The research problem, its justification, process and outcome are reported in a dissertation, which complies with the generally accepted international norms at this level.




Opportunities:
After obtaining the Master in Nursing qualification, further study will lead to the registration for a Doctoral Degree.

Admission requirements:
A Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in nursing, with an aggregate of 60 % and with a pass in Research Methodology
Recent curriculum vitae must accompany the application form.
In addition to the above requirements, applicants from countries where English is not the official language must demonstrate proof of English proficiency, and they must have their qualifications verified and assessed by SAQA to the level of NQF level 8.
