UNIT OF APPLIED ECONOMICS
ND: REAL ESTATE

Course Aim:
This programme is designed to develop participants practical and theoretical understanding of the essential aspects of real estate valuation and marketing. The competent graduate will be multi-skilled and be able to offer property valuation, building practice and property marketing services.

Opportunities:
The Diploma prepares the graduate for a variety of career opportunities as a property professional or valuer in private practice, the public, financial or private sectors. Graduates may apply for registration with the SA Council for the Property Valuers’ Profession.

Admission requirements:
Preference will be given to applicants who have obtained a rating of 3 or above in one or more of the following subjects: Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics or Maths Literacy.
Industry experience as a property valuer, developer or estate agent will be an advantage, but is not essential.
